The mechanics of hitting the ball in Golf King - World Tour are very simple. To the right of the player’s character, one will see a couple of gauges accompanied by one’s ball and club. The player must simply use their finger to slide the club back and they will see the needle on the top gauge start to move from side to side. In order to hit the ball in precisely the direction one would like to, the player must align the needle with the green portion of the gauge before releasing their finger from the club.
If the needle ends up outside the green portion of the gauge, the ball will fly off course in the direction the needle is pointing. Note that the difficulty in aligning the needle will depend on several factors such as the stage the player is on, the club the player is using, the terrain on which the player is hitting the ball, the amount of power the player is using, etc.
The center gauge surrounding the ball indicates the amount of power one is using. The further the player pulls back on the club with their finger, the more that player’s power increases. Full power is achieved by bringing the club back just enough to turn the gauge completely green. Overpower is achieved by bringing the club as far back as one can, resulting in the gauge turning red with an 'overpower' warning. Note that over-powered shots will send the ball further than the targeting indicator, but are more difficult to control.
